Postmodern man has become the victim of his own inventions. He has set into motion a giant avalanche no one will be able to stop. The only place of refuge can be found in the arms of a mighty God and Savior. A right relationship with Him will assure us of eternal security. Too often we look for our security somewhere else. This world with its allurements does have a strong grip on us. The issue of the sacred and the spiritual has unconsciously been pushed into the background. It is no longer relevant to our existence. Faith, once a significant part in the life of a Christian, is vanishing from our daily agenda. For example, modern medicine is seeking remedies for most diseases, thus prayer and faith are often treated very lightly. In reality, however, we are pitiful wretches, poor, blind, and naked. The only solution: A complete turnaround or revival, which is solely the work of the Holy Spirit.
